Job Title: Leather Cutting
Supervisor: Cutting Supervisor
 

Summary: Inspect leather hides for flaws and defects as outlined in quality standards. Load leather hides onto the automated cutting machine ensuring hide lays completely flat. Cut leather hide into correct pieces by selecting the correct pattern from cutting software. Off bear, fold, and stack pieces in the correct order for sewing.
 

Job Requirements:

• Repetitive pulling, pinching and gripping with both hands
• Maintain consistent work pace
• Must be able to recognize flaws and defects in leather hides or inconsistency in the leather & distinguish color variations
• Able to work scheduled hours on a regular basis, which could include overtime
• Ability to work within a team
• Adhere to quality standards and safety practices as defined in the work instructions
• Possess willingness to cross-train on other jobs or lines as production dictates
• Lifting weight:  50 lbs maximum;  20 - 25 lbs frequent
• All other duties as assigned
