Job Title: Staff Accountant


Reports To: Treasurer / Chief Financial Officer


Summary:  Performs financial activities within the Accounting department by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitor and reconcile various general ledger accounts
  • Create and post transactions to general ledger
  • Maintain fixed assets records and depreciation schedules
  • Provide analysis of operating discrepancies
  • Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly overhead calculations
  • Assist with month end and year end closes
  • Prepare analysis for year-end audits
  • Participate with special projects as assigned


Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA candidate preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work with and interact with employees throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheets, and other Microsoft products.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
