FERDINAND, IN - Best Home Furnishings recently awarded scholarships to five dependent children of full-time employees.  Winners of the academic scholarships were selected by the Dubois County Community Foundation.  Four $4,000 scholarships were awarded for a four-year degree and one $2,000 scholarship was awarded for a two-year degree.

Levi Allinger

Levi Allinger, son of Jason Allinger and Erica and Ryan Scherzinger (Chair Division, Upholstery Department) of Leavenworth, will graduate from Crawford County High School.  Levi plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana.

Lauren Bueltel

Lauren Bueltel, daughter of Phil Bueltel and Gwen Bueltel (Sofa Division, Sewing Department) of Mariah Hill, will graduate from Heritage Hills High School.  Lauren plans to attend Western Kentucky University

Austin Knies

Austin Knies, son of Chris and Sandy (Chair Division, Sewing Department)  Knies of Ferdinand, will graduate from Forest Park High School.  Austin plans to attend Ball State University.

Maria Sermersheim

Maria Sermersheim, daughter of Keith (General Council) and Connie Sermersheim of Evansville, will graduate from Reitz Memorial High School.  Maria plans to attend the University of Notre Dame.

Shaylynn Smith

Shaylynn Smith, daughter of Troy and Tammy Smith (Billing Clerk) of Fulda, will graduate from Heritage Hills High School.  Shaylynn plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana.
